CUMC Member chosen as Project Transformation Intern

Elizabeth Nordenholt was recently selected as one of the sought-after internships for Project Transformation this summer. Elizabeth is currently a freshman at Oklahoma City University where majoring in theatre design and production. She has been attending CUMC almost her entire life and was heavily involved in the youth group all through high school. When asked how she felt about obtaining this 8-week, paid internship that serves our neighbors and working with 100 other mission-minded interns, she said, “I am absolutely stoked about representing CUMC at Project Transformation this summer! I love working with kids and youth and I think the opportunities will be tremendous. It will also give me some clarity as I decide to pursue some form of theatre ministry as well.” CUMC is also “stoked” to have her representing us in such a wonderful way.
Project Transformation is a partner that CUMC has been working with for many years and the benefits of this program are plentiful – bringing together the young adult interns, the urban children and youth that they serve and the connection between our suburban church and the inner-city church where the summer program is held. Project Transformation is a non-profit Christian organization that provides ministry exploration and leadership development opportunities to college-aged young adults and community oriented programs for children and youth living in low-income neighborhoods of North Texas.
