Easter and Holy Week
Maundy Thursday Communion Service - March 20 at 7 p.m.
Also called Holy Thursday, the word “Maundy” comes from the Latin, “mandatum novum,” the “New Commandment,” that Jesus gave the disciples to love one another. The service also recalls the Last Supper Jesus shared with them and Holy Communion is celebrated as part of this service. Rev. Jan Davis will be preaching the homily and special music will be by the Sanctuary Choir.
Good Friday Service - March 21 at 12 p.m.
We gather in quiet reverence to hear the story of the crucifixion read in this simple but moving service which concludes with the congregation singing “Were You There?”
