We observe the beginning of the Lenten season tonight at 7 p.m. with a special Ash Wednesday Service in the Sanctuary with Rev. Bart Smith preaching. This traditional service that Christians have observed for almost 2,000 years includes the imposition of ashes where we as Christians mark our foreheads with ashes in the sign of the cross to show our repentance and intention to observe a holy Lenten season.
